High School Head Volleyball Coach

 

DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO:  High School Vice-Principal / Atheltic Director 

 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  1. Supervise athletes during all team activities and trips
  2. Work directly with assistant coaches for a consistent program
  3. Work directly with MS and community youth coaches for a consistent program
  4. Conduct Daily practices throughout season with written practice plans
  5. Maintain Positive ASB accounts
  6. Assist AD with set up, clean up, lines duties, score clock, and score keeping
  7. Maintain Accurate Uniform and Equipment Inventory
  8. Complete WIAA Online Spirit Rules Clinic, WIAA General Rules Clinic, & Concussion Training.
  9. Attend League SOP Meeting as needed
  10. Complete accident reports in a timely manner
  11. Up To Date on WIAA Coaches Hours
  12. Able to obtain Drivers Abstract and transport athletes in school vans to some contests.
  13. Report post game scores in a timely manner with local newspapers and to AD
  14. Represent MHS at year end all-league meeting
  15. Participate In Year End Banquet With Team
  16. Follow all MSD, WIAA, CWB League policies and procedures
  17. Others as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

1. High School Graduate

2. At Least 21 Years of Age

3. Maintain Valid First Aid/CPR Card

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

1. Head HS Volleyball coaching experience

2. Assistant, Junior High, Club, and/or Volunteer coaching experience

3. Ability to teach Scorekeeping/Libero Tracking

 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 35% sitting, 35% walking, and 30% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Amount of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and twisting will vary depending on the age of students and classroom
assignments. Physical capabilities also require lifting and carrying (no more than 50 lbs.) pushing and/or pulling,
stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and significant finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires
approximately 35% sitting, 35% walking, and 30% standing. Maintaining good hygiene is essential.
