Position Description: Childcare for Parent Family Engagement Programs
Directly Responsible To: High School Principal

 

Description of Responsibilities:
1. Provide supervision to children of parents attending after school and/or weekend school-sponsored
programs and events- dates TBD.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Current Mabton School District Paraeducator.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience providing supervision to children from birth through middle school.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
MENTAL DEMANDS
? Required to deal with a wide range of student, staff and public behaviors and needs in a positive
and service-oriented manner.
? May occasionally deal with distraught or difficult students or parents.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
? Amount of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and twisting will vary depending on the age of
students and classroom assignments.
? Physical capabilities also require lifting and carrying (no more than 50 lbs.) pushing and/or pulling,
stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and significant finger dexterity.
? Generally the job requires approximately 35% sitting, 35% walking, and 30% standing.
? Maintaining good hygiene is essential.

Pay Rate: $21.82 per hour
